Product description

Drift-free measurement of ultra-pure fluids

The patented dead-volume-free sealing and sapphire sensing technology prevent contamination and reading drift. Wetted parts made from virgin PTFE (optionally PFA) make the sensors compatible with aggressive process chemicals and Ultra Pure Water.

DIN EN 60751 Patent granted 10–90 °C

Frequently asked questions

Questions about Chemical Liquid sensors

What connector and cable does the sensor ship with?

Both series use the Binder 99 9210 00 04 connector with a 4-wire shielded litz cable with FEP insulation (cable temperature range -200 °C to +200 °C, insulation class ET+ up to 250 V AC). The FT sensor ships with a 200 mm cable, connector and tube ends without fittings; for the FX sensor, cable length is customer-specific and only the PTFE housing is supplied.

What PT100 tolerance class do the sensors meet, and can a tighter tolerance be ordered?

Standard is Class F0.1 per DIN EN 60751:2009-05; 1/5 DIN B or 1/10 DIN B are available on request. The recommended measuring current is 1 mA at 100 Ω.

How does connection size affect pressure drop through the sensor?

The pressure-drop coefficient increases with connection size: 3/8″ Cv = 7.73 (Kv = 6.68 m³/h), 1/2″ Cv = 30.08 (Kv = 26.03 m³/h), 3/4″ Cv = 248 (Kv = 213.3 m³/h), 1″ Cv = 525 (Kv = 451.5 m³/h).

Does mounting orientation matter for measurement accuracy?

Yes. The technical documentation specifies a defined mounting orientation and flow direction, and the correct flare tool must be used when preparing the tube end to ensure a leak-tight connection. Details are provided in the installation drawing supplied with the sensor.

What materials besides PTFE come into contact with the fluid?

The thermal conduction element is Al₂O₃ at 99.99987% purity, and the sealing is ultra-pure Perfluoroelastomer (FFKM). Parts with no fluid contact include the PVDF top/bottom covers and the A4-grade stainless steel fixing screws.
